A clear path, one step at a time.
How it works
Step 1: The free 20-minute consultation
Every family starts with a free 20-minute consultation. It's a relaxed conversation about where your student is right now — whether that's just beginning the college search, deep in applications and financial aid, or already enrolled and working to stay on track.
We'll talk through what you're hoping for, I'll explain how I can help, and we'll figure out together whether we're a good fit. There's no pressure to commit, and no cost for this first conversation.
Step 2: The engagement agreement
If we decide to move forward, the next step is a short engagement agreement. This is where we put our working relationship in writing so everyone knows what to expect — the scope of support, how billing works, and how your student's information is handled.
That last part matters to me. The agreement spells out how I protect a student's privacy, and it's written a little differently depending on whether the student is a minor or an adult, so the arrangement fits your family. Nothing begins until the agreement is signed and we're both comfortable.
Step 3: Our working appointments
From there, we meet for focused one-on-one sessions. Most appointments run about one hour to ninety minutes — enough time to make real progress without losing momentum. We might build a college list, work through the FAFSA, sharpen an essay, compare aid offers, or troubleshoot a barrier that's threatening a student's enrollment.
I bill hourly, so you only pay for the time we actually spend together. There's no large package to commit to up front — we work at the pace your student needs, session by session.
